Crystal Dynamics is known for its classic franchises like Tomb Raider and Legacy of Kain. However, the Legacy of Kain series has been dormant since 2003; it has been almost two decades since the last Legacy of Kain game came out. After its acquisition by Embracer Group, fans speculated that the studio might revisit its classic franchises and on the top of the list of the fans was Legacy of Kain. A ray of hope for the revival was seen in October when the studio conducted a survey about the Legacy of Kain series and asked fans about the franchise and what their expectations are from the series in the future. Well, on Thursday, during an earnings call session, Phil Rogers, CEO Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Interactive ( Crystal Dynamics’ parent company) revealed that the studio has received an overwhelming response from the fans on their survey regarding the Legacy of Kain. And surprisingly, there were over 100K responses to the survey. As stated by Phil in the earnings call session. As assured by Phil Rogers that they hear fans loud and clear, and details regarding the Legacy of Kain series’ future will be revealed soon, the future of the Legacy of Kain series looks promising and hopefully, fans will learn more details about it soon. In the past, we’ve found that surveys typically get between 1,000 and 3,000 responses, but when we asked folk about Legacy of Kain, we received over 100,000 responses. 73,000 gamers completed it entirely, and if you are one of them, we thank you very much, and we appreciate it was quite an effort given the survey was pretty extensive. We saw the news of our survey shared across social and press platforms and we really felt this was a great way to reignite this passionate fan community with this legendary PC and console game series. Rest assured, we hear you loudly and clearly, and we will continue to update you on the what if possibilities ahead for Legacy of Kain in the future.” -Transcribed by VGC
